Star Wars Battlefront II can not be run on a Mac. I think you can get Windows XP/Vista/7 for the Mac so you can run the game, but thats your only option. Or upgrade and get a PC. My opinion.

And it's an option that works just fine. All Macs have a built-in utility called Boot Camp that allows you to create a partition on the computer's hard drive that can run a Windows OS. I run all of my games on a Windows XP partition on my Macbook Pro, and it works great. If you want to do any modding for Battlefront II, your best bet is to get a copy of Windows XP, although it may be difficult to come by. Otherwise, Windows 7 would still do just as well, and would even be better if you plan on running newer games.THEWULFMAN wrote:I think you can get Windows XP/Vista/7 for the Mac so you can run the game, but thats your only option.

Re: Star Wars Battle Front II For Mac/Macbook
I'm running BF2 on a MacBook (not Pro) using Bootcamp and XP. The game runs smoothly on medium settings (which is what I expected).
I'm using the MacBook for modding/map making because outside of the game, the MacBook is faster than my desktop PC. However, when running the game, I get black screens that last for about a minute in between the game's normal loading screens.
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this/knows a workaround
It's nothing major, just annoying to have to wait longer. Worst comes to worst, I can switch back to the desktop for running the game, as it runs on high settings with no black screens.
