lol... I couldn't do squat with BFbuilder... then I got pro and BAM! inside of 2 minutes I had my modified Dark trooper in the game and working... Pro rulz

lol... I just gave him a blaster rifle, melon gun, Rocketlauncher, and, uh... well, I'm gonna give him the manga staff. (all have unlimited ammo)
And I modified his jet pack... oops... he went like 1000 feet high before he started to fall
Kinda fun to use the rockets at 1000 feet tho...

I've already given a rocket-launcher to the Dark Trooper, and, yes, it's funny to launch rockets when you're in the air. Once he landed, rocket has not reached its target yet, and suddenly... No longer enemies...

Is it true that you cant play maps with edited/new sides ONLINE, unless you have version 1.3?

You can play online with edited/new sides with 1.2. If you make a unit with a class of anything but soldier, you cannot. For instance, in my original version of Oasis Duel I had the imperial probe droids as a 3rd team. In the odf the class is "droid". MP would crash. If I changed the type to "soldier" in the odf, it worked. BUT! The death sequence was not right. The droids just scooted away from you and faded away. Didn't look right so i made angry jawas.

SteveK' , I need the probe droid model, but I don't want to download a map to get it. So, where can I download this unit ? And is it the "official" model ? (i.e. the one which was removed from the final version of SWBF )

I just used an odf that I made and the munge extracted the assets from the shipped level. Fred has some assets that are in his Chainisle demo map. Try there.

I've ever tried to re-create the *.ODF file of the probe droid, but there are entries in it that aren't used in any other *.ODF files ! This probe is really a mystery...
I think I can find the Chain Isle map on File Front ... Right ?

uhm... how do you get the files out of a .lvl file? I know munging puts em in, but how do you get em back out?

Hex-editing can do this if you know the "structure" of the files you look for in the *.LVL file...
