I'd like to know if this is possible at all.
1. Replace the loadscreens for the stock maps? (Or at least add new ones)
2. Add multiple map variants to existing stock maps. (Ex: Night and Day)

You can change the skydome and lighting, but unless you load a different terrain file, you can't change the lighting on the terrain (Dark Times II stock Kashyyyk, for example).

@Glitch:
1) Assuming you already know how to make a custom loadscreen, do the following:
Also, if you don't want to use the second tutorial, then, for example, let's say you're editing the stock Mos Eisley map: Make your edited version the nighttime map, and now you can use the randomizing function to determine whether the stock map loads or your edited one.
1) Assuming you already know how to make a custom loadscreen, do the following:
- Since the stock loadscreen .lvl files use multiple images, you will need the same number of images to replace them. Name each one of your images after each one of the images used by the stock loadscreen .lvl you are planning to "replace."
- To get the stock images' names, try using the LVL Extractor.
- Then list all of those image names in your REQ file.
So instead of loading the stock map, you load your edited map from whatever directory you put it in.The FAQ / Everything You Need Thread Version 2.0 wrote:...

Mustafar could be like refinery failure or something with lava flowing in as the refinery sinks into the lava.
