Main Menu screen

Post by Guest »

I,ve been thinking and I see several downloads that give you new main menu screens. Well, I want too know how to do this, and is it possible to put animation in the background? I'm not exporting the main menu screen from the xbox, I've seen a WIP of exporting Xbox background and it was locked. I've got a little plan of my own.....

Shell work is no picnic. It requires knowledge of the munge system, scripting, etc.

That was my thread :P I got these to work but deleted it since I can't release it anyway and I didn't want to get in trouble with this. I do wonder if its illigal to put in small parts of the Star Wars movies or just of the trailers.

If you somehow figured out that the XBox/PS2 movies are actually hidden in-game then it's not illegal. But if we had to actually get the movies from the XBox/PS2 then that is illegal.

So what you're saying Tean is that if someone found where Pandemic hid the movie clips from the levels we can legally have them as background similiar to Xbox/PS2 version?

And the movies aren't hidden in the game or modtools.

...but if trying to find out how the game works is against the EULA, everything we are doing here is illegal....

Making mod maps isn't really figuring out how the game itself works (only for a small part), no-one here knows how to or is trying to figure out how to make an entire game like SWBFII (mainly the engine) that works all by itself, and I think that's what would be against the EULA. Then again, I'm not sure.
