Reinstall it where you need to and move your data_ABC to the new directory.

hi im trying to get my sides mod to work but this exact problem happens. what do u mean by no spaces in the bf2 modtools directory?

Exactly what's said. In this thread the problem was the space between "program" and "files" in "Program files\Lucasarts".

my directory is Local_Disk C/:/BF2_ModTools though. recommended directory?

The one you currently use is the highest recommended one. (though you misspelled this part: "C/:/..." )

is there anything about replacement sides that i should know about? i tried it with another mod's mission.lvl file and it worked on the maps with side layout changes.

If the units' names (i.e. rep_inf_ep3trooper) of the side being replaced don't match up with the ones in the new side.

i havnt changed any names of any files.
