Legal disclaimer in the Readme

Post by Fiodis »

I know we're required to put a disclaimer in our maps' readme files to the effect of "THIS LEVEL IS NOT MADE NOR SUPPORTED BY LUCASARTS." I don't really foresee much trouble with this, but are we supposed to write something else now that Lucasarts has been bought by Disney, or is that much still fine?

I think no one cares ;) I even didnt know that i have to do that and if you dont do that no one will care. And if you keep on doing the IS NOT MADE BY LUCASARTS you wont get into trouble ;)

Until whoever owns SWBF issues an explicit change for the mod tools EULA, then it still stands. I rarely see mods/maps that actually do it though (old and new).

I see it as being part of the development process. If attention can be paid to the smallest detail in a map, then why not the same effort on a simple readme? When I see short, non descriptive, or incomplete documentation, I expect the same from the mod.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm going to thrown in my agreement with Tirpider. I'd just also add something about it not being developed by Disney as well now.
