This map was inspired by the BF1 custom map, Rogue Clones: First Assault. This map however is taken a step or two (or three...) further. I have already been workin on this for a while. It's main features are...well...practically everything...i recently had to redo the sides because i actually overloaded bf2 with modification so i had to tone down alot of the weapons. Anyway the name of the map is called The Realm of Chaos...its a little bit like this...

Map Description:
The Map somewhat resembles Rhen Var. A couple temples are spread out across the map, along with a crashed republic capital ship. It's mainly inside a valley surrounded by tall, rocky mountains. I'll post some priliminary screens of this soon, it is still being developed.

Unit Description:
New Skins and Modded/New Weapons. Each is practially the same type of unit as before, but with a slightly different name, and different weapons. Also all of the points to unlock values have been taken off, and speed and other special abilities (such as jet for those that it applies to) have been enhanced.

Custom Weapon Description:
Machine Gun
Basically a Rifle that has had its firerate greatly sped up
Rapidfire Rockets
these were featured in my map Ultimate Cage Match, they are exactly what they sound like
Remote Doom Rockets
Guided Rockets without depleting stamina and enhanced explosion
Flamespitter
I beleive this has been done, but anyway its a flamethrower that shoots flame farther than the normal one
The Mine Chucker
This shoots mines like frisbees, they dont fall to the ground but are thrown in the enemies faces
The Boeing Bomb
50 Orbital Strikes...at the same time...takes up the radius of about 100 meters, a beacon is fired out of a gun and sticks to things, anything, including units. There is little chance of escaping this alive...

Vehicle Description:
All Vehicles have Modified skins
Chaos Tanks(all)
Travel faster and shoot faster
Doombike (all)
Speederbike that travels faster and shoots rockets
Chaos At-sts (rep and imp)
Walk faster, shoot faster
Chaos At-At (imp)/At-te (reb and rep)
They Run and Shoot waves of firepower
Doom Hailfire (cis)
Travels faster, shoots rockets faster (if you can imagine that)

"Conquest" changed to Pwnquest

"player killed player" changed to

"Medic! MY BRAIN IS BLEEDING!!!"

Well, the skins are a bit grainy. You might want to fix that. Otherwise, good work! :)

Im going to create a "Dannometer" and every time you make a totally awesome Idea it will slowely increase.

Ok, now that I think about it, 50 Boeing Bombs seems a little too many. I dont want those stupid-as-heck AI placing em everywhere only to kill everyone on the battlefeild...

I like the skins, but the chaos Arial trooper bugs out my eyes :shock:

I like the idea of finally having a variety amongst the weapons and units.. I'll definitely be downloading this one..

This Mod looks AWSOME!!!!! What this games need is a large variety of different SW weapons. Im geting this mod. (pm if you need beta tester) :)

I hate to be a negative Nancy, but this map sounds completely over-the-top. There is absolutely no call for a weapon that kills everyone in a 100-meter radius. It's going to be complete mayhem - and I realize that this is basically what you're aiming for, but doing that removes any sort of strategy, and, in my opinion, everything that's fun about the game.

One of the best things to do is to make a run against overwhelming odds and escape alive. The odds are completely removed when everyone has a one-hit-kill weapon. One man is no worse than ten, just whoever fires first wins.

I think that's the point of this map though. There are NO other maps out there that are like this, so why not try it?? I admit, this wouldn't be fun on EVERY map, but once in a while it's kind of nice to have a change of pace, and have complete carnage or in this case chaos :wink:

Of all the games to pick for "strategy" though... I have never thought of the Battlefront series as a "strategic shooter". If I want to play a Strategic shooter type game I'll play America's Army - not BF II

the skins look less grainy in-game, thats just the way it shows up when the pic is compressed in jpeg.

i've added another feature to the boeing bomb where u can charge the weapon up for greater accuracy and more deadly affect

I like the way the skins look, it makes them seem more chaotic. Can't wait to see what your doing with the other sides and vehicles. This is definitely something I'm going to DL in the future.

Now, if I'm being honest, I'd have to tell you that the only skins I like are the Voxtrooper, the Chaos Commander, and the Chaos Trooper :P

ahh but you dont understand the juicy part of it. all the units are equally 1337'ed up and the weapons arnt all one hit kills, it takes the same amount of hits, its just that hits come faster. also the greater weapons provides better defense as well as offense, so the battle is actually at the same well..."equilibrium" --if you want to get nerdy-sounding about it-- as a normal battle. There is an actual battle, its not just shoot and kill, its shoot a lot, kill a lot. And for those who are first playing the map its gonna be die a lot, but you can master it like any level and there are now more ways to pwn than you could possibly imagine.

Anyway the Unit weapons are almost complete, im just fixing a few things with ammo. I will next try to up the vehicle weapons slightly but will try to be careful about it so it doesn't overload like it did last time.
