Melee question

Just because I finally got around to trying to perfect my chainsaw (lots of bugs) Im going to ask is there a way to change it so a melee weapon is held with rifle animations while not attacking but then is held up when attacking? Also can you make it so if you hold the mouse button it stays in attack mode and loops a sound while you hold the mouse? I really would like it to look good as a melee class for the sake of having idle sounds which a cannon cannot do apparently.

you can do everything with combo and animation editing

Wel....anyone know how to do it? I dont understand completely how combos are set up or anything or how to change anything other than damage and push values. Are there any guides to combos?

Take a look at THIS. It's a .combo file that is commented, line by line to help you better understand it. That's a good place to start.

Idle sounds?
Try making the unit have an ambient noise, rather than the weapon. Sorta like Darth Vader's classic breathing noise. This is assuming that you are able to get custom noises ingame, unlike me :(

just munge saber anims with a rifle basepose

erm, im shure you mean the rifle idle anim (you have to override more anims then just the idle otherwise the unit will stillmove the chainsaw like a licghtsaber and only hold it like a rifle)

Wow im confused now, so what do I munge together then? Oh yeah and I cant give the unit the sound cuase the chainsaw isnt the only weapon you have so yeah I dont think a shotgun sounds like an idle chainsaw. Yes I can get custom sounds in.
