i think that the fragmentation grenade has to be skinned because a green det is a bit weird.
that small explosion is good but it should have more euh feeling it's an explosion that makes me think about the explosions in swbf2.

I mean that some model and its skin can be renamed so that the game can load both the copy and the original. :wink:

The grenade is green because of the lighting. The only thing I've done to the skin is sharpened it, and even that you won't notice. I'll give the grenade some black smoke instead, but I don't think the explosion should be any bigger than that.

I love the explosion. It looks very powerful although (or because?) its so small.

DooFi is right but i think that the range could be a little bigger like you think that one det can take out a single infantry squad. cause that explo is like a two or three man explo.


EDIT: think that an infantry squad in the war is like 6 or 8 men he ;-)

May I ask everyone to STOP posting ideas. The mod is called MOVIEBATTLES (just a worktitle), that means, we will follow the movies as closely possible. If it doesn't have to do with map design or an idea for a special unit, then just don't post it please. Btw. if you want, please post your incarnation of the Galactic Marine skin here (please don't change any colors, but please add more dirt etc.) Winner will have his own unit and his name will be put onto one of our buildings (visible ofcourse ;))

Anyway, that explosion actually looks more real compared to the 'mini-nuclear' explosion radius' in the default game. lol

The thing is, there is nowhere else to post what we have made for this mod. Either make a private forum for the team to show off their ideas/makings or make a WIP of this mod.

I realise that it's not my job to be making skins, but check this:

I need to make the photoreceptor more detailed, as well as make the grey areas lighter, but apart from that it seems OK. You'll also notice I beefed him up to a more accurate size. Comments?

w00t very nice man. this will be a large map. i have the feeling like you can yell your name at the beginning and you can hear it at the end if you can travel faster than the speed of light to the other side :D.

Umm... sorry, but that's just plain bad. You obviously haven't been looking at the reference pictures.

Can we stop allowing skinners to join? We have about 10 of them already and it's obvious that some of them have only just started to skin. Sorry to be so offensive, and I know you asked people not to flame. It's a good start I suppose.
