I think this game would have been better suited as a "Light Side Ending" expansion for the first game much like the Ultimate Sith Edition was an expansion on the original dark side ending.

I would have preferred two separate campaigns: One following the Light Side Ending (this clone plot, a little better though), one following the Dark Side Ending after Luke was turned.
...but that's asking a company that knew it was going to be fired too much
He's not wrong, from a certain point of view. All those clones were flawed - it may be more accurate to say that you cannot perfectly clone a Jedi, the way it seems you can with non-Jedi.

Well if you're going to go all Obi-Wan on us, it could also be argued, from a certain point of view, that if this Starkiller was a clone, he was flawed as well; haunted with the memories of a dead man.

How wonderfully circular. That is an argument that could be applied to anyone if the only prerequisite for "flawed clone" is "having memories of your past self."
Since this particular story thread is apparently left up in the air, you're of course welcome to apply any rationale you like, but doesn't it seem a lot more pat to simply take the one that makes for the more satisfying story?
There's a couple more cinematic files I unlocked doing the challenges, they are voice acted but are in comic panel form, and appear to be about the Starkiller clone before the game starts. Hopefully they shed some light on things.

I agree, it would have worked much, much better as some sort of expansion set. This kind of sounds like a repeat of that Halo ODST case back in 2009, a game that is sold for the full price but doesn't not have enough content to justify said price.

Lucas himself said that the Emperor was never cloned in his Star Wars. And it's his story, right? I hope, one day he will remove this rubbish from "official" canon...
So I watched the extra cutscenes, and all they did was sow how the evil Clonekiller came to be. Basically, he exists, but Vader told him to only attack at the right moment. I guess the light side ending didn't have the right moment or something, which probably means he would have been the final boss of TFU3.

Ugh. Canon in general bugs me, because there's always some dissatisfaction.

Ironic, considering he praised the Dark Empire comics.

The novel makes it out to be the accelerated process used to make Clones that drives them mad. And there it is outright stated that it is impossible to clone Jedi because of Force Sensitvity, however there are points against this (the Kaminoans cloning Falon Gray, for instance). However you cannot really apply that to Palpatine as his clones were empty shells for which the original soul would move into. Hmm... I wonder if Starkiller was the prototype for that.
Don't forget that Vader blankets the truth for his own purposes. In the Dark Side ending it's revealed that he did indeed lie about the cloning process, although since that's out of canon its credibility is questionable.
The novel also insinuates that Vader might have been using Starkiller as a test subject to clone himself, by transferring his own mind or memories into a much younger and complete clone.
Off-topic: And I just lost the game.
On-topic: I just noticed, I've never seen anything about a Wii version for TFU2. Of course, on second though, I guess I should be glad that there isn't one of those.

Oh but there is.
You can even get a Darth Vader lightsaber Wii remote clip-on with the game.

ENJOY THE Diet Dr. Pepper GAME/MOVIE/BOOK. CANON IS REALLY NOT THAT IMPORTANT.
You're right. It just bothers me extremely when someone says the emperor survived and was cloned... it destroy the whole sense of Star Wars.
