Map freezes upon loading

I'm going to try fixing the problem in my map one last time before I give it up for good.
This is a bit of a long story:
I had two objects in my space map. I (having a dumb moment) removed the ODF files from the folder it was in and loaded the map via ZE. ZE told me that it couldn't find the ODF files. I said OK. Once the map was loaded, I made some changes and saved the map, and munged.

The map now freezes after the loading bar is filled up. I've tried putting the ODF files back in the folder, but now the objects don't exist in the world. The map is now freezing 100% of the time, every time I load the map it freezes after all the dots in the loading bar are full. The error log shows no severity errors and when munging no errors came up. Manual cleaning didn't work, and neither did creating a new map and copying over the CW-Ships.lyr file. Nothing I know seems to work.

Is there something residual that makes the map freeze? Do I have an error in one of the scripts? Or is the map defective (similar to the problem with adding starfighters; I follow the steps exactly as I am told to do, yet the map crashed)? Please post your ideas.

EDIT: I reread the error log. Before the Sev3 concerning SC1.lvl, the map still froze, but I'll remunge and clear up the problem, and post a new error log. Repeat particletransformer errors omitted to keep the post within 60000 characters.

This is most likely the problem. Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix it, but check to make sure you haven't got any errors near here in the LUA and check your final munged folder for this file and a side file.

You could try creating a new map and copying all your old files in the world folder except the CW-Ships.lyr to the new map.

This is most likely the problem. Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix it, but check to make sure you haven't got any errors near here in the LUA and check your final munged folder for this file and a side file.

Does this command post exist? That could be what was causing the vehicle crash, IMO.

For the common.lvl problem, that's me forgetting to put the custom loadscreen in the map. I omitted the line that's created when I use the loadscreen program (can't remember who did it) so that the LUA wouldn't ask for common.lvl; the error no longer shows up.

About the command post, we may be on to something. I loaded my world and checked the entire command post, region, spawn path, and vehicle spawns - anything I could think of that uses the rep-cp3. Nothing showed up abnormally. I'm guessing it has something to do with the rep-cp3con specifically, not just the command post. Could it be a vehicle spawn asking to use rep-cp3con when that vehicle spawn isn't within the region?

If you do what I suggested you, at first only copy the files in the world folder, if it works then copy all the rest (custom sides, loadscreen, etc), just to be sure.

I moved the map's files elsewhere, and started a new map. I copied all of the files in the old map's world folder to the new map's world folder except for the CW_Ships.lyr. Strangely enough, no change from the default map was present (the spawn paths and regions should have been moved). Then, I copied the CW_Ships.lyr. Again, no change-all of the ships weren't where they are supposed to be. I did a manual clean and munged and it freezes again.

Something might be wrong with VisualMunge. Maybe you could compare it with another person's?

I see three major errors that need to be cleared out here. I don't know what's going on with it not loading your sound file, but the other two are very easy to fix.

For this one, the ControlZone field in your vehicle spawn properties should be the name of the CP, not the region.

Ok, I fixed the con problem and told each vehicle spawn to only look for the command post, but it still freezes. I also looked in the log and found a Sev2 telling me it can't spawn in a vehicle. I added the vehicle in the SC1c_cmn.lua, and will munge and report the results soon.

Just to be safe, I'd try commenting out the lines related to that sound file, and try loading the map just to be sure we can eliminate it as a problem, given that it's the only remaining severity 3 error. Not that I don't trust your word, but it doesn't hurt to be thorough. If it still crashes, then we move to the hard part. There are a few things that cause crashes without being written to the log. I know some of these are weapon related, so the next thing, I think, would be to remove the side to see if the problem is coming from that and keep narrowing things down until we get to the cause.

Come to think of it, check the mungelog as well just in case there's an error showing up there that we're missing.

Sorry about the wait, exams and adjusting to new classes took up some of my time.
I've removed any reference to the efx thing and unged and tested the map. The munge log didn't show any severity 3's but the map still froze. Also during munging no errors showed up.

(I guess it's the hard part now)
