Assistance with reinstalling Mods
Ok. A few weeeks ago, my Laptop burned out. The over day I got an old XP.
I installed BF2 Fine, but the computor does not reconise the file, when |I download the patchs.
Anyone know why this is? I can't install the patchs, or the conversion pack, or any of the maps!

It dosn't regonise the file type.
EDIT
I don't think my new computor has win-zip.
Nope.
Do you know any free Zip softwear that works?

I downloaded 7z.
Right. when I download the 1.1 Patch, it not regonised type.
What is going on? Why doesn't it regonise it?

Re: Assistance with reinstalling Mods
The file type should be an executable. If you downloaded the 1.1 patch from Filefront you have to add an .exe to the end of the file's name in order for it to be recognizable. The same goes for the Conversion Pack Installer too. Surely your computer can't be running if it isn't recognizing exeutables.

By all means, Winrar is much better and is easier to use. And compresses smaller and lots of people use it.I downloaded 7z.
