. And I'd love to be part of more skinning contests, mostly as a participant, not a judge. I could judge sometimes though.

NO challenger, you said you didnt use the hue sturation to skin, which most people use. How do you do it then?

NO, paint brush would look painty. HIs look pro. Like without the same color blas that paint would make.

Paintbrush + Overlay + Very Careful where paint goes = Good skin.

That's basically what I do. I just use the different select tools (rectangular, freehand, elipse, and path) to select the parts I want to change, then I use the brush with different settings and opacities (i.e. Multiply and Darken Only). Well, I suggest just doing what I explained in my previous post
. Works every time. You could also just change the brush type to Multiply (if you're using GIMP) and change the opacity. Also, here is my newest skin (I'm in the skinning mood):
