Okay, I take back all my fail remarks about this. I actually tend to agree with game reviews, and since it got an actual 10, I think this is a game I'll have my eye on. I won't buy it, though, as it'll be too expensive for a while. I might play it at a friend's house. Now I'm gonna go hide in a corner to keep from getting stabbed with pencils at school tomorrow.

I just got MW2 with two of my friends and my dad from the dreaded Gamestop. I was picking up a copy of MW2 for a birthday present for a friend, my friends were each getting a copy. I thought a personal friend was working, but he wasn't. The employee made a huge fit about selling the game to 16/15 year olds. He went on and on about how there is blood and bad language. He kept saying something about an airport. My dad was even buying the games, but he wouldn't sell them. It wasn't until some guy started to yell at the employee that the guy let us buy the games.

I feel he shouldn't have made a huge fuss about selling my dad the games. I understand that they are inclined to ensure that my dad understood the rating of the game, but he has certainly made an impact on my father about gaming. I am slightly upset about this.

Was he right to do this?

Anyway, I thought that Infinity Ward broke off of CoD? Why does it say Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the case?

I gotta do homework, then I'll play some.

EDIT:
Wow...30 minutes searching for a game without anything. I then decided to play campaign. I wasn't that impressed, but it was sorta fun.

Multiplayer is the same as CoD 4 with slight differences (new weapons, perks etc) so that is great as well. I have yet to try Special Ops. This game is a must buy, my quick review is so I can go play some more :D
which version? PC? If so how's not having DS?

I have the 360 version so I find servers instantly with the matchmaking. I cannot express how much I love this game.

Borderlands + Left 4 Dead 2 + Assassins Creed 2 + Modern Warfare 2 = A few months of not going outside.

Yeah, I hated that mission. And I didn't even understand the point of it, other than to

start war with the US... but why would the CIA agent (Pfc. Allen, right) take part in that - even if he was undercover?

The fact that he was undercover would kind of explain it. To play his part as a member of Makarov's (obviously terrorist) organization, he kinda has to play along. It doesn't make it right, but you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess. It's still terrible, though. The very beginning where you come out of the elevator astonished me. I mean, that's some crazy s***.
This game looks amazing, and I kinda want it, but I have no idea whether my laptop, or even my desktop at home, could run it. :?

"But it is nothing compared to what you will save"
That's basically the motto of the CIA, do what it takes to get the "bad guys" even if that means becoming something just as bad. The concept that our good is the best good and we must do whatever it takes to achieve that good is the only way to justify it (which I don't agree with, but hey, they can put whatever views they want in their game).

@Dohnutt - It passes on system requirements lab, but it said the same thing about GRID, and I couldn't get a good framerate out of the menus when I tried to play it. (I don't get it either)

Also:
Hidden/Spoiler:
I believe I said in my previous post that it still wasn't right, no matter what. Unfortunately, when it comes to the Armed forces and the CIA, orders are orders, and you can't just drop out when you don't like your assignment. Plus, as the General said "You will lose part of yourself...but that won't compare with all that you will save" (paraphrased) The whole idea is that your character would be sacrificing the (relative) few to save the (relative) many, had the mission been a success. Obviously, as you see at the end of the mission, Makarov found out you were a spy and used you to start a war with the US.

It's still a terrible thing to have to watch and take part in, but the end result, had your character's cover not been blown, would have been beneficial for the world as a whole.

No matter what, those actions are by no means right, but what I'm trying to say is that your character's (and the US's) intentions are good there, at least, and his mission was supposed to be, had it not screwed up, a way to end Makarov's organization, not support it, for whatever that is worth.

Offtopic: I think the real reason why Starcraft 2 was delayed yet again was to wait for the fervor over these games to cool down.

I don't get the online in this game. I can't join a game by just searching for one, I have to join a session in progress...

I really enjoyed some of the maps, but that airport one is terrible for team deathmatch.

Yeah, you're right :P Just annoys me, I guess.

Ah well, sick game, I can get over it.
I only played for like 10 minutes last night 'cuz of interruptions.
I was somewhat annoyed.

Why do you even continue to post in this thread if you're going to be like that? You made it obvious that you weren't buying the game, and yet you continue to come back in and bring up the same thing. If you're not buying it, great, but just please stop trying to say that over and over.

In retrospect, my behavior was a bit childish and more reactionary than actually thinking it out. Normally I either omit posting about something or wait and post accurately about the topic (at the time) or atleast be level headed about it. Do forgive me if I did offend or annoy anyone.

I have multiple reasons to keep coming back, but I do not have to inform you of any. Well here's one, to see if any news or word comes about that would change my mind. After further research, Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 2 is a decent game. It was a bit over hyped, but then again which very successful game didn't get over hyped (Brawl?). It's a solid game for 360 and PS3, but I feel it got gimped on the PC.

Also Thire, I've been here long enough that you guys can call me Target or atleast don't have the underscore. I used it for a space.

I do have one question though, do you actually have to fire your gun in that level? Do your "allies" suspect you if you don't? If so, do you fail the mission?
