New scope
i had tried to add A new scope by geting a picture of one off the internet
i opened it in gimp sized it to 512x 499 and saved it (as a TGA after clicking RLE compression and the other button) over the default weapon scope. Then i opened my LUA and ReadDataFile("DC:ingame.lvl") munged and got this.

512 X 499 won't work, has to be a power of 2.
So make it 512 x 512

Turn off "Keep aspect ratio"

i made it fit 512x512 and there was no mungelog but this was in my errorlog

Also did you manually copy the ingame.lvl file to the games addon/xxx/data/_LVL_PC folder it doesn't get copied automatically with a munge.

You don't need to create a new ingame.lvl for custom scopes.
Put your scope texture to
#:\BF2_ModTools\data_XXX\Sides\Common\effects
(You need to create the effects folder)

ok what i did was add ReadDataFile("dc:ingame.lvl")ReadDataFile("ingame.lvl")
to my lua but this happened (the scope was the same)
So i took out ReadDataFile("dc:ingame.lvl") from my lua and added my scope to my sides/commen/effects folder and nothing was different.
