Weird Wii thing (Warning)

Post by Fusion »

So, today Pokemon Ranch came out, and I wanted to download it. As you know, my Lan adapter hates me, so it took a few tries to get it working.

I get it to, and my Shop Channel gives me that first time info (My Nintendo Account address, blablabla). Odd. I download the game, then realize, upon going to the main menu that ALL MY VC GAMES ARE MISSING!

No save data, no channel, can't re-download them without paying. Internet and Nintendo Channel are missing as well. Actual games are safe, however. I called support, and they're currently evaluating my claim. They had no record of me even downloading them.

Just a warning to you all, no idea what caused it.

And to you people who remember why I can't use this computer for advance tasks anymore, isn't it ironic that it happens to me? >.<

Ouch. That's weird. I hope Nintendo's supports accepts your claim. That's really weird. Anything happen after you turned off the console and reloaded it? Maybe it failed to load your data?

They figured it out, my Wii serial code doesn't match with the internet serial code (some sort of card in the Wii). Someone else activated their Wii (it was one in the Nintendo World store in New York xD) to update it, saw the extra VC games and channels and deleted them.

So now I have to send the blasted thing to repairs, they're going to give me 4,000 Wii points to get the games back and fix the defective internet card thing. This should take about 16 days.

I guarantee Earthbound will be released the week I send it in >.>

I'm also backing up all saves on an SD card, just in case ;)

I'll leave this up as a reminder that the customer support really does help, unlike Microsoft's.

That's good and awesome how you get the 4000 Wii points to rebuy the games.

Another thing, save your used Wii Points cards. They were able to confirm and locate the purchase that way. :P
