High school Spanish pays off.
And this is a very good looking map. Lots of custom models, reminds me of RepSharpshooter. Good work!

Eventually. Now, I haven't seen the movie and thus have never seen this battle, but maybe a small suggestion - slightly narrower streets? They seem excessivley wide to me. Even if that's how it was in the movie, you should take into account (if you haven't already) that modders might want to tweak details to make it slightly less canon but slightly more fun.

Re: Christophsis Battle (Crystal City)
With regard to the streets, you are right, I have already made provisions for that. I do not know which refers less to do with "canon" ... I do not know if you mean making it less like the movie. I do not see the sense to do so if it is not ... but anyway thank you very much for your advice buddy!Fiodis wrote:Eventually. They take it into account (?) that I am Spanish and language lessons in English are difficult for me. Well, your English looks pretty good there. I would have thought English was your native tongueForceMaster wrote:With regard to the streets, you are right, I have already made provisions for that. Yes, canon refers it being like the movie(s). And, yeah, not everything has to be canon. Heck, I'm making an Empirical with the shipped Tantive IV hallways
For clarity:
I looked at your sky on page one, and it doesn't look like the Mygeeto sky. Did you use a different sky? Also, I find Spanish very interesting, although my friends in class don't. Forgive me for my bad Spanish, and the accents.

Es el archivo ODF de Mygeeto, pero la textura es otra, está modificada.
es la textura "myg_sky_dome" la modifiqué con un programa: GIMP editor.

"Neat! Finally someone who can understand my language
It's Mygeeto's .odf file [note: technically .sky file], but the texture is another one, it's changed.
It's the "myg_sky_dome" texture changed with the GIMP editor. -Staff

Guys, please, speak english. I'm brazilian, too, but I don't think it's appropriate to engage in a spanish conversation, besides... I don't know spanish, just english and portuguese (I believe most people in these forums don't understand spanish either).

Si, no hablo mucho espanol. Soy en la clase de espanol uno.
Yah, I don't speak much spanish. Gramatical erors and missing accents pop up occasionaly for me, pluss I'm only in Spanish one, so I don't know much anyway.
On Topic- So this city was the one in the movie? It looks like it, but they had it in an episode too, so I wasn't sure...

Re: Christophsis Battle (Crystal City)
Sorry guys, did not think that they feel uncomfortable speaking Spanish. I have to translate every comment I read in the forum (the whole page, not just that I do or my answers.) I know that most people speak English and that does not bother me, but it is also good to read in my native language.
On topic:
Crystal City:

I don't know that this city appears in the Episode II, I can see that only in the Clone Wars Movie and Clone Wars Series.
The Battle for Christohpsis have two fronts: Space and Crystal City.
I'm making the city first, after this i go to work in the space battle.
In the Movie appears others cities, Theth, Jabba's Palace...

Ah, sorry about the Spanish guys, and thanks to -Staff for translating
. Its good practice for me.
Anyway, those reference pics look good, but now I notice that the skies don't match... oh darn, I'm ranting about canonization again
. Nvm, your sky looks great.
If you want, to make the map more photo-realistic, you could add directional lighting to the map to show the shadows in that first pic.

Re: Christophsis Battle (Crystal City)
Well, it is true that if I make a story of a "canonical" Star Wars then I have committed to do what happened there, otherwise it would be history. The map I'm doing is a "campaign" (someones objetives...), not "conquest" here can not choose between the Republic or the CIS, as the story is told from the viewpoint of the Republic, not the droids.
I add a Direcctional light, the shadows appears in the movie bud I can't see the terrain relief, why is brilliant and formless, yet do not know how to fix it.
EDIT:
Off-topic: Someone has made a model of Ashoka Tano?

EDIT 2:
Looking at some forums I found that there is a model BF0 already that they will not be released for a long time.

Re: Christophsis Battle (Crystal City)
Did you burn the shadows into your terrain? Ideally, you'll want to have a static (buildings, etc.) directional light and then colored ambient lighting (which isn't a "placed" light) to light your units. To get a static light to show up, you'll need to use the "burn terrain" button (see the lighting tutorials for how to do this).ForceMaster wrote:I add a Direcctional light, the shadows appears in the movie bud I can't see the terrain relief, why is brilliant and formless, yet do not know how to fix it.

Mi Espanol es asi asi.
Anyhow, the map is continuing to look great. I'm looking forward to the release. This is probably the best attempt at Christophsis that I've seen.
