So, what, you want to put that skin in-game? Look in the FAQ thread at some skinning tutorials and side making tutorials, they cover everything you need to know.

Re: need help with odf
we know that you need an odf to put a skin ingame but the fact that you are asking for a "custom odf" shows that you havent understood tutorials about getting a skin ingame. if you dont take your time to actually read carefully and understand one of them (you can find many) and follow it properly you will get your skin ingame

Re: need help with odf
How does that involve .odfs?
DL the file, change the name to the usual skin for the unit, put it in the right folder, let it replace, and munge. Or copy the skin from the file, and put it the units skin...
Oh, I get what you want. It goes on the stormtrooper model, so you're going to need to copy him and all his stuff to its own side. (I'm to lazy to get a link for you, go to the FAQ.) Once you have the side set up, change his skin to the cadet skin. It's easy stuff.
Also, learn how to use Shift, the Enter key and spell check.

yoyoman, I hate doing this, but I see no other option. I am just going to give you links to the page you need until you figure it out. You are smart right? I have faith n your abilities young padawan. Just because the link I gave you (odfs for dummies) doesn't mean you give up. Look some more in the everything page. I am SURE you will find it!
Here is a skinning tutorial.
http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 27&t=20565
you wanted to skin, so there it is.
for sides (includes lua editing to get your guys in-game):

and lastly if the above don't help you fr some odd reason:

Re: need help with odf
It is simple to reskin. Just replace the targa file with your new skin file. Then when you munge make sure you have selected your side folder in the sides drop-down window.
EDIT: I'm not gonna try to be mean but if I were you, I would look in the topics that they mentioned and see if you can find this good help that I mentioned in them. This is how I accomplished re-skinning and I didn't need Gametoast to figure it out, but for you, I give you an image.

Re: need help with odf
Just copy an existing one. And try not to get snappy. I am just saying it how it is!
Let me explain a few things. To make a side work, you need the following:
-req file folder and a (-insert side name here-).req
-msh folder with mshs and tgas
-munged file folder (optional for jet guys and stuff)
-effects file folder (for effects)
-sound folder (once again, optional)
-odf folder (with odfs that have stuff about your guy's weapon, unit, and combo (for jedi guys)
Next, you need to edit the lua for it to work. It is all in the tutorial. Here on gametoast, we don't teach you everything. You have to learn some things yourself. All of this is level 1 basics. I think you are capable of handling it yourself. Please just look at the tutorials I gave you (I had to find them, so please just humor me and look at them)
