Re-texturing the props can make a huge difference. ;)

Can someone please upload the Kashyyyk data folder from Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\data\_lvl_pc please? Mine seems to have gone missing.

Thanks Marth. I put it in but it didn't work(it never got to the loading screen), which helped me to realize that it was not my Gamorrean Attack that was just crashing. Everything is!

EDIT: Could someone please make a lava prop that has a moving texture and glows(and maybe you can fall through it)? I know THEWULFMAN made one but it doesn't glow and the texture doesn't move.

I can do it after I finish this Skyway prop. I'll probably just import the stock Mustafar lava and edit out any non-lava parts.

It does glow, and making the texture move would be a simple hex edit.

Although it has no lowrez, so that is a reason to get a new one.

The stock executable is broken and doesn't work, but here you go anyway.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/38430663/SWBF2 ... Editor.exe

Alternatively, download and unzip this into GameData\data\_lvl_pc\.

The folder should look something like this after unzipping:

There's nothing wrong with the ParticleEditor.exe that came with the modtools, it just relies on other files in order to work. The one in your download isn't from the BF2_modtools, that one is from psych0fred.

@Loopy53
That's the same exe that you said was producing blocky effects in your help thread. :?

:o Was it really? Well, method 3 doesnt work, but method 2 is working. I am now launching PE from lucasarts\swbf2\gamedata\_lvl_pc\ and it works fine. Not sure why method 3 didnt show up for me. Oh well.

Could someone make a crab droid model? It would be very useful for when I get a new pc, so I can start modding.

Working No-DVD modtools link?

Post by Teancum »

I noticed our mediafire link is now down. Anyone have a working no-DVD modtools link? I only have the Steam version of the game now.

First off, have you even tested that image to see if it actually lines up in-game? It looks like you just took a screenshot of your map's entire terrain since the buildings practically look like dots. You may want to follow the following tutorial first before anyone does this request for you.
Also, not much texturing skills are required to make a Pandemic-style minimap. All you do is basically trace the outlines of the objects on the map. It can be tedious, but definitely not difficult.
