I'm editing my sky in GIMP, and I thought5 that if I double the length then paint that side, then I should be able to have my sky go all the way around my map. (I want a sunrise on one side, but it'll put two. One on each side)
If I double it, will that work?

No. it wouldn't. It would look something like this, where the @ is the sunrise.

Re: Wrap around 1 time sky
There are a few ways you could do this...
1) The geonosis sky uses two different sky files to make up the sky. You could mess around with this, and have one sky be the normal one, while the other is the sunset one.
2) You could insert the geonosis spire background into your sky file and edit that to make it look like a sunset. The geonosis spire won't duplicate itself everywhere, you'll only have one in the background.
But there probably is a much simpler solution.

if you are editing the default sky_yav2.tga there should be no problem. I was able to put things in certain places with that sky file using gimp easily.

I'm editing A Yavin sky, but it might not be the right one. I might just make the sky a big gobble of stuff so it doesn't matter.
