It's not just the resolution. It's pretty clear that a big step in every skin you make is SHARPEN!, because every skin you make has pretty clear sharpening artifacts. I would say that you probably shouldn't sharpen at all to "improve" a texture; contrast adjustments might be more effective. The way you make your skins now might look nice to you; to me it looks a little tacky.

Wow, that looks great. I always thought that the current groundcrack looked ugly, but I never thought about it being possible to reskin it.
Anyway, that's a big improvement, it looks way more believable.

Yeah, its just that DT stormtrooper commander is blue to fit with the rest of the legion, that is blue because, i think that Mav wanted it to be similar to RepSharpshooter´s 501st.

Here's a skin i like much better than the previous one i posted.

Credits to Icemember for the clean marine skin. Contrary to my previous statement, i think you'll see this skin instead of the other one i posted in upcoming maps.
based on It is unfinished, there are marks on the torso that i will add.
This is only a clean version, i haven't done any battle scarring for a long time, so ill get a scratched up version soon.
On a side note, does anyone have any good gimp brushes they use for making scratches? I used to have a bunch but lost them all, so suggestions for brushes would be much appreciated!!
