Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread 5th Edition
Marth: Interesting. Is it based on your real house?
Mini: Is that the only thing you know how to say? 'cause it seems so. Obviously Marth isn't finished, and it looks like he knows what he's doing, so I'm sure he'll optimize it at some point.

Just offering advice, if you don't like it you don't have to read it.

I'm curious about these, are they intentional?
I like how you did the roof.

Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread 5th Edition
- Yes, this is based on my real house, and it's as close to the real thing as I can get it to be.
- The current "unneeded vertex's (it's actually spelled "vertices")" are only for reference and UV baking.
- Those things Unlucky13 pointed out are mounds of soil in which small trees are planted.
- To prevent future questions, yes, there will be an accurate interior.
I'll post real life photos later today.

Couldn't get the hands finished this weekend as I planned, still happy with the result.
Any comments/criticism is highly appreciated!

Wow, that looks awesome. It looks really really great, I'd say up to professional standards.

Too many unnecessary verts. Needs optimized.ANDEWEGET wrote:Jawa!Hidden/Spoiler:

Looks really, really freaking good ANDE. I'm always taken aback by the work you put out. Now post pictures of the high-res and post some wireframes!

Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread 5th Edition
Thanks for all the nice comments!
Here are the requested wires and hipoly shots:
The model's at 2206 triangles right now(
), hands would be about 300 tris. It's a bit higher than necessary because I didn't bake anything except the larger bag and the cloth. So I bevelled the edges of the smaller boxes.
Here's a mix of all the textures(for the cloth, the item texture is a bit of a mess).
The sculpt took about 3-4 h, retopo + UVs maybe an hour or 1.5. Textures and the items were spread over saturday and sunday so I don't know the exact times.

Awesome stuff ANDEWEGET!
Heck, it's not too detailed for a certain outdated game.
I'm not suggesting anything, anything at all.
I'm totally kidding, I know it's not going to happen.

Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread 5th Edition
I personally think it would be worth it just sticking it in BF II really quick with proper materials just to see how it looks in comparison to it in a more recent engine. It obviously wouldn't be as good but I would love to see what a model with a proper normal map and textures would look like in BF's engine!THEWULFMAN wrote:Awesome stuff ANDEWEGET!Heck, it's not too detailed for a certain outdated game.

Very, very close, but notice how there are no MGs at the wings and the rear wings are a bit shorter than the ones of an Me.kinetosimpetus wrote:Looks kind of like an Me 109.
All wings need more detail though.

No, it's Superman.
It looks like a trainer to me. Not sure which one though.

Your first answer was closer.kinetosimpetus wrote:FW 190?
Have a look at the cockpit, that's not Focke-Wulf design.
You have one more chance, then I'll solve
