Mara Jade

ok, i've been working on a mara jade skin (its not gonna be spectacular, because this is my first real attempt at a skin). anyways, i initially had her replacing luke on the alliance side, then decided to create a new side just for her. everything has transferred fine, except one thing - she gets taller and a little skinnier, to the point of being kinda weird and gangly.

i had a similar issue when first putting her in the luke odf (she's based off the leia moddel), but got it fixed by adding the leia skeleton to lukes odf. problem is, in the new side, i have the leia skeleton in her odf, and she still stretches.

on the left is how she used to look (and how i want to get it back to) and on the right is the "new side" version of her. the weirdness is especially noticeably around the face and waist.

(the skin is still a wip, but i would like to hear suggestions on how to improve it, besides more detail on the clothing)

any idea what the problem is and how i could fix it?

I suggest using Alya Secure's model. reskin her tenticles then you got two ponytail things instead

That was my idea, but I am too lazy to try it.

perhaps you could add a robe around here like darth maul has to cover up the skinniness.
And maybe skin on a scarf or something to cover up the neck? I would play around with more skeletons.

not a bad idea, oom-9, i thought of using aayla, but decided against it because i didn't know what to do about the lekku. never thought to reskin them as ponytails, i guess i never thought of mara has having ponytails. but it's better than buns

i'll certainly look into that...

and postulio, mauls cloak extends from his waist, i dont think it would really help much...it would just go back to looking more like leia (with the skirt).

just make a new model cause from my point of view no model in this game looks like mara jade at all or resembels her in any way =/

I was thinking the rebel female sniper. Maybe just say its an armored Mara Jade to have an excuse for the helmet.

i thought about that, but it'd be more work, and it really wouldn't look like mara jade, because you cant tell what color her eyes are, and her hair isn't visible. so it would just be a reskin of the rebel sniper. JabbaLovesLava is (or at least, was) working on a mara jade moddel anyways...if only we had a rigger...

just remove the tentacles for starters.... erm... actually that'll look weird nvm reskinning would be good idea.

Oh the reason why it might look gangly is because of the saber you gave her (with different animations which wern't meant for leie model) or perhaps she has a different animation set which was not meant for the model, perhaps lukes, or kiamundi 's (and those animations could be from there lightsabers aswell)
