the "teeth" look a bit too red and they could be modeled more out(dunno how i should explain it), but far better than mine

What is it?kinetosimpetus wrote:I tried adding some shading. And adjusted the stripe on the head. And redid my "officer" skin, to be included in the release, which will probably be sometime this week.Hidden/Spoiler:

new looks good except the very front is kind of separated from the model (you can see the gap)

from my experience, models in the msh viewer you use, dunno the name, sometimes have a bit offset translation.

For the WWII project, and my map,
A couple of models I made in Autodesk Maya 2010 Trial Version:
US M1 Garand Rifle (Maya Reference pic):
MSH Viewer
Ingame
WWII US Battleship (Still a WIP, but it's very highpoly (obj file is 2.5MB!))
Maya Reference Pics:
Let me know what you think!
Also- Bobfinkl- I'll send you these as soon as they're finished!

Nice Garand rifle. May I suggest instead of modelling every seperate part of the railing using a texture with transparant parts and modelling big squares instead. (to save a lot of poly's)

Wow! That rifle looks great, but I have to say the butt of the rifle is WAY too big in fact it looks as if that's the only flaw with it. And I agree with mswf on the rails it will save loads of polies especially since that model most likely will be in the background.

elfie-cut down on poly counts on the railing so you can give some to the front of the boat. i think the front definitely needs more subdivs, bit too blocky atm imo.

Its a nice start
Could definitely use many more scratches on his armor, and perhaps a little more detail on the gadgets on his head and arms.

Well, it could be helpfull if you also published the non-scratched skin, to make it more easy to reskin it. (skinners de-scratchin it as soon as you release it is a bit pointless if you have one right now)
That model is very good!
