"Skinning" only requires a texture and an image editor, but if you want to see your edited texture ingame then you will have to create a custom side (this applies to whatever you have loading from a side in the LUA).elfie wrote:Just so everyone is clear on two things relating to skinning:

Editing a stock side automatically makes it a custom side because you're incorporating an edited texture that wasn't included in the shipped game. The only way to get that side in your map other than replacing the stock side is to call it with "dc:" in the LUA, thus a custom side.
