Localizing Original Units?--SOLVED

Post by authraw »

I'm having trouble localizing some of my original units in the localize tool. I have a lot of units that I need to localize that don't have filenames used in the game itself. The folder that I am using is "jed". I have tried adding keys to the entity.jed folder [see?], but when I play as the units in the game they still show up as X21UP452 (or something like that).

I'm pretty sure it's just that I don't understand something. So how do I rename my original units? Do I have to change their filenames to match those of the units already in the game?

well i am guessing something here sorry if i am wrong but is your units for one example called: jed_rep_hero_bly? or rep_hero_bly? cause if it is the second one then you have to put hero_bly as a key under the rep entity.

Wow. I hate it when I work for a few days at a problem to find that it's really that simple. >_<

Thanks a lot! I was pulling my hair out over that.
