Localizing Units Help [Solved]
First thing's first: I am fully aware that there is a localizing section in the FAQ. I have read the tutorial, but being as it's for SWBF1, I don't really get it. I have tried to do what is written in the tutorial in several different areas, on several different occasions. I tried putting an "entity" and "weapons" scope, with all the revelant custom weapon and unit names added in keys, in the level/MAP, to no avail. I then tried putting both side scopes and weapon keys onto the "weapons" scope, and both side scopes and unit keys into the "entity" scope; still no dice. Also, during my wonderful misadventures with the localize tool, I somehow managed to rename all the bots on the two sides to just two different things. So, if anyone would happen to have a more BF2 Friendly version of the localization of custom sides tutorial, or know how to undo my mass bot-renaming, any help would be appriciated.

Re: Localizing Units Help
I know that tutorial works because I used in the first place. Not sure about the naming thing you did on the bots but I just put my units name under entity\cis even though it doesn't load from a cis.lvl, but it still works. Maybe I'm just lucky though...

Alright, I'll give it another go then...sim-al2 wrote:I know that tutorial works because I used in the first place. Edit: I got it. What I was doing is in the side's scope, I was writing out the whole units label, while I only needed the stuff after inf.
