Before I start, I'm going to tell everyone that I have read the documentation, and I have combed the BF2XSI forum here, and I have tried nearly everything.
Okay, so I have a hero in my mod who wields a sort of saber scepter (basically a walking stick with a little lightsaber sticking out the top) and obviously mace's animations won't look nice. So I created one attack animation (this being the first animation that I have attempted to put ingame) and exported it (with the Pandemic addon, I have XSI) and combo-ified it and animationmunged it and munged everything else.
Now, I inserted it into the ATTACK2 state and changed the BlendTimes and Break settings. When I play the game, however, the character goes straight from ATTACK1 to ATTACK2_RECOVER (I'm going by memory on that one). It just totally skips ATTACK2.
It might be a combo problem, but I suspect I did something wrong with the frames in the actual animation in XSI. Is there a limit or do you have to change a framerate setting? My animation is 19 frames.

Re: Saber scepter animation
While there's certainly nothing wrong with setting up the combo at the same time, can you confirm that the animation works at all in SWBF2? If there's a combo error then that's one thing, if it's the animation itself then you're looking at a different problem.

Re: Saber scepter animation
So I should try it on a different combo? I'm afraid I have no idea how I should go about that. What if I left the settings the same but just pasted the name of the animation into the place, like ("stand_attack1a") turns into ("stand_testanim")? BTW, testanim is what I exported it as. The file is "obiwan_sabre_stand_testanim.msh".

Re: Saber scepter animation
Rename your animation to match the name of an animation in an already-existing animationbank. Munge that animationbank and use the corresponding combo with it. Mention if it works or not.

Re: Saber scepter animation
Okay. Why didn't I think of that?
Oh, because you're the admin. Yay!
I'll try it in a minute.
EDIT: I just overwrote the dooku animations and didn't fix the combo and it works great.
Is there a limit of frames that an animation can use? Is it 10 or 20 or is there even one?
