Google Sketchup Animating
I have started Modelling and with Google sketch up and it is quite fun. I've made a model (of a demented , deformed, hideous cat) and I would like to animate it. The actual scene will be really simple but there is one problem. I cannot do this because I don't know how to start creating the animation and such. I can't be very specific because I'm still new to google sketchup. Sorry. If anyone could help I'd greatly appreciate it.

From what he is asking for, no. He means animating the model itself rather than making scenes.[Padawan]Helkaan wrote:IS this what you mean?
All I'm aware of for animating models is a plugin called SketchyPhysics. The thing is, I'm not sure how it works because I haven't used it. There's the Wiki where you can find some basics about it and to dl it. http://sketchyphysics.wikia.com/wiki/SketchyPhysicsWiki
From a simple search it looks like there's a few plugins out there with this in mind. I'd advise you to go to SketchUcation.com to find the plugins. It's a pretty useful site for Sketchup.

I think you can do animations with Sketchyphysics, but there is no way to animate a model for SWBF2 without exporting it.

That's why I suggested he look through the plugins at SketchUcation. I saw some during my search there that were supposed to be animation plugins.DarthD.U.C.K. wrote:sketchyphysics is a physic simulation, i doubt that ist usable for animating the way he wants.
I'd start there. SketchyPhysics is only one of many. It's just well known and yes it's a physics simulation, but it also animates the models.
