Texturing Help in Blender

Post by lucasfart »

I'm using blender 2.49b, the latest supported version, and i'm having trouble figuring out how to save the texture :) I've marked the seams and unwrapped the model, and the texture shows up in blender, and then i export as .wrl but the texture is not exported with it. I'm not sure how to fix this and i have tried saving the texture myself but it isn't loaded when i opwen it up in the msh viewer.

Also, i was wondering how people reference multiple textures into their model, as in having several different textures, which are loaded seperately into the model, instead of one texture for each model. for example, the tatooine buildings reference a single texture, which is used multiple times throughout several other models as well.

Not entirely sure how to refrence multiple textures, but to save a texture in Blender, from the UV/Image editor window, click UV>Scripts>Save UV Face layout. But, if the texture already shows up in blender, you should already have the image with the texture saved somewheres...
