Well, I only explained it to you because of the wording you used:

And yes, it has been done before but certainly not on this very map. That's why it was added and mostly unchanged because it is fun mode, even with just the stock heroes. At one point there wasn't going to even be a hero assault mode, but it got implemented eventually after some thought.

Just got finished playing Extraction, all hunts, team deathmatch, and hero assault, and let me just say this is a superb map! Heck, I almost thought I was actually playing RC for a minute.

Not sure what you specifically mean by "environment assets", however I know that Marth and I both could make use of any assets in one way or another. We work hard on quality, and any and all assets used in this map certainly meet our standards.
