You know, xwingguy, you inspired me to make a new map (with cap ship interiors), and now that I've started using assets from Tantie IV, I see now how much of a PAIN it is. There's collision geometry where there isn't texture in some of those corridors. They aren't very mod - friendly objects. It took me about a day just to set up the corridor just outside the hangar without having random invisible walls in the middle. Just wanted to say that I have even more respect for you now. Oh, and don't worry, my map will be based only on boarding parties (you said that would be discouraged in this map - I will encourage it). Of course, that's if I ever get it done in the first place.
Also, I humbly offer my services as beta tester, as I both am very excited about your map and can offer ideas about interior layouts and such - we could share much information
When did I say that I was discouraging boarding parties? I'm justing making it so it isn't a walk in the park to get to the critical systems (especially a vital reactor core).
P.S. You think you have trouble now, just wait 'til you start crashing at the loading screen.
Oh, sorry xwingguy, I misunderstood you. I'm just making it the central feature in my map (it will be conquest mode). It focuses around the boarding parties and actually capturing command posts within the cap ship.
aww cant wait till it comes out gonna be mint can ya do loads of laser bolts flying arnoud cos i think that is wot made bf2 space combat weak cos in the films evry where you look thers a laser blast going off espically in the battle above endor have you got capital ships passing each other lentgh ways cos if ya did do wot happens in episode 3
