I think that's just fuzzy memory. There were lots of people that modeled, although actual asset release was less common. Go back through some of the older release threads and you'll see that plenty of people did their own stuff (although very few of them are active anymore).Caleb1117 wrote:No kidding, when I was in early production of Emag, there where only a few major modelers.

Well thinking back, your right, there was Squipple, VF501, and I think Wazamol was around then. Heh, the lack of anything being released was why I started modeling; you'll notice I've released or will release every model I've made.Maveritchell wrote:I think that's just fuzzy memory. I remember Bandu. He gave me a texturing tut that was too hard for me to understand at the time. But I eventually understood it.

Re: Model showcase thread Part II
As I said before, here is my Corellian Gunship in its "RAW" stage for now, there are no turrets in it yet, and that's my question, just to make it clear, I need to add hard points to add manned/auto turrets, right?
My plan is to make it pilotable, the only bad thing is being unable to add a small "independent" interior so Units could spawn in space INSIDE the frigate so they would enter the pilot and gunner seats from inside.
Low polygon (to be slightly reduced), still no skinning or anything, I am learning, but I am willing to make some stuff so others may be able to complete it, nothing too complex for now.

Morita Rifle is finally textured, half of it is Photo-sourced and half is done by hand. Not the best job in the world, but texturing is not my strong point, but I thinks its good enough for SWBF2.

Both models look great, VF501 and vampire_lord!
vampire_lord, if you would like some help, I would suggest making your own thread about it
And VF501, textures do come out good when you photosource, don't they?
Great job on both the model and the texture.
