You read it, all the links. I should have probably directed you to do this first though: Read the documentation. Probably about 85% of all questions asked in this forum that are basic could have been solved by people reading the documentation found in the modtools. I read the entire documentation. I started off not even knowing GT existed. So you can too. Read it and ask questions you had about the docs here. Once you get into modding, read the tutorials in the FAQ.

I remembered seeing this in the released assets. I learned on a battlefront 1 tut also (which confused me a little at first, as I was modding BF2, but you get used to it) :)

Also this, found in the Zeroedit section of the FAQ labeled as "Getting Started with the BF2 Mod Tools."

Good luck down the road of modding. 8)

read the jedicreationguide in the documentationfolder
it will explain how you get new units ingame (if you should mean units or weapons)

no, there are sooo many tutorials and anwers to any question around, use the searchfunction
you cant expect to get a personal step-by-step tutorial for everything#
that sounds rude, but its the truth

Ya, dude you should just read the docs. If everyone did that, then half the questions on GT wouldn't need to be asked. Getting Started.doc is what I would recommend the most to you. It gets you started with your first map.

Not to be too blunt, OP, but you need to read all the documentation, and when you have a question, look through the FAQ and then use "search." Inevitably you will solve 99% of your problems that way (and believe me if you think you have a question that really just means "search harder").

We're happy to address individual and specific errors here, but nebulous advice solicitations like "how do I mod?" are unnecessary.
