Question About Re-Installing

Post by Jdg50 »

I'm re-installing BF2 due to a hard drive failure. I still have the old data from my old BF2 stuff.
Question is, can I take the profile file and put it in the new BF2 folders? Because I worked hard to get a bunch of award weapons and I don't want to lose it. Also, does the convo pack come with the 1.1 patch? because I had the 1.1 patch and I never installed it.

EDIT: Also, what about the modtools? Do I have to reinstall them? What about the maps I was working on?

profile: yes, simply put it in the savegame folder
1.1 patch: no, it doesnt come with the convopack but you must install it before the convopack to be able to view the correctm map- and modenames
modtools: they are seperate from swbf2 if your addon folder was deleted you have to munge your maps again though.

Woah, apparently the Bf2 Installation installed 1.1 by itself. O.o

If you bought SWBF2 after 1.1 came out, your disc most likely came with 1.1 pre-installed.
