I also think the 2nd is better. but you could also use different laser textures for different weapons.
(Example: you give the clone rifle number 1 and the pistol number2)

Tanks (and strong weapons) will get number 2, units number 1.

While I was in a tank, I've managed to get a clone assassin to get in with me by pressing 'F4'.
Also, maybe you could get it so hero's can't get in vechicles either because they're over-powering already, or just increase the # of points you need to unlock them...

I have an idea for your next version, maybe you could give the Clone Assassins Force Jump ability so they can jump on top of the buildings. Also for the clone with the rail gun (forget his name) he doesn't really look like he's firing the gun, it's just standing still. So maybe you could change that too in your next version.

The Clone Assassin is my favourite character in Star Wars and I want to keep him like he really is. So no, I will not change his abilitys. Ok, well then forget what I said.... And about the animation, keep it the same. Or if you are going to change it, make it up and don't use one of the stock ones 'cause none of them look good for him unless its Aalya's.

Clone Assassins can't force jump, no Clone can jump higher than a normal soldier can.. ( Who the heck can jump high in that armor..? )
