So I'm getting a new sound card...

Post by Marth8880 »

Hey, GT. So I have decided to ask for the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 PCI card. Why? My Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit card's EAX feature is not supported by ALchemy, a driver which brings back EAX support in Vista and Windows 7. I find it sad yet hilarious how the Audigy SE is extremely problematic when used in Windows 7 but not in XP or Vista, but lucky for me, I still have Windows Vista because I refuse to upgrade to 7. So my question is this: what version of EAX does Star Wars Battlefront 2 use? I am asking this because the Audigy SE only has EAX 3 and I want to make sure that I'm going to be getting as many extra sound effects that I possibly can out of Battlefront. And if anybody is wondering, I am not getting an X-Fi card because they're terrible.
