Hello, I just wanted to pop in and post some updated pics of the Victory Star Destroyer I am working on for my BFII mod, Fleet Battles.

The major part of the modelling is done (apart from the interior, which i'm waiting for the mod tools for, so i can extra and player charecter, fighter and ISD to size it correctly.), all thats left are details, stuff which didn't show up good on the tech readout (since there was only a front and side view for it) and a few things to fix.

Once i'm done with the Victory i will be working on either the Carrack Cruiser or the Lancer Frigate (well i will be doing bot heventually).

If you got any comments or suggestions don't hesitate to post them.

The model is very good and it is good to see a modder that is (instead of just announcing it) going for what he annouced. Now you just need a skin in .tga form then youl be set 8)

Thanks, yes well at this moment texturing isnt my strong point, but i am making one this weekend cause i used it in a class project which is due monday.

very ausome job you should make a hanger were the Tantive IV was captured..i'd like to learn more about this fleet map

the ship that captured tantive wasnt a victory... well anyways those look awesome, raingod. can't wait to see more :)

wait...that's a Victory?... arent they supposed to have the "fins" on the sides?...

Yes, i've added fin, now and also fix the engines, will put up some new pics tomorrow.

Ok heres and update of the victory, its basicly done expect for a few details, and the interior.

How are you going to do the interior though? Are you just going to model all corriders and such
on this model?

Thanks, acctually the interior will be part of that model (its a little over 4000 poly's right now). There will only be a hangar, and aux bridge (if elevators are possible there will also be a main bridge)

if you could pull the elavator thing off, then it would be 50x better then the original game

I agree, an elavator would change all possibilites. (well maybe not all, but enough; you get my point)
You might consider having a pair of control panels control the up/down,like the death star bridges. or you could make the elavator something that uses the land/take off animation of the starfighters, but instead of going up then foward, it would go up then stay there until it was triggered again.
also, will the whole thing be destructable like a frigate, or parts like the cap ship? and is there a poly limit?

WAIT! who said anything about executor class? I thought ths was only victory class?

Elevators would add to lag. The animations, added with everything else, would probably increase lag in gameplay.

Of course, what do I know? Other than those models are freakin' AWESOME!!!!!!!
