hard to get Wii? it's impossible until the 8th of December here in Sweden... and my mind just can't decide about the consoles.. and it's so hard to think about consoles when I have so [word not allowed] much homeworks and such. soon it's christmas vacation or whatever it's called...
and I have money so I could afford a console...
Edit: But it's hard for me get separated from that money...have taken a year or so to save...

Actually developers really like the system because there are no limits.Wii - Will not have so many good "third part-games" (or whatever it's called then for example EA makes games for Wii) because game makers will see it as hard to make good games for it.
I really don't think most people upgrade their system every two years. And if they do thats going to cost twice as much as a console at any rate. Though what really is bothering is that you make the PC to play the game, not make the game to play the console. You never have to worry that a game is not up to par on your console.(buy a good gaming PC and lots of games...wii and 360 will be crap in 2 years anyway )
You guys do know that a quick flick of the wrist has the same affect as a strong arm swing. Its not even how hard you hit it (although it does affect it if you swing lightly), its the timing. So you don't have to worry about decking someone in the face with the controllerGuess what guys, remember what I said about the Wii-mote flying at your TV? It actually happened to a friend of mine ._. The arm strap broke, the Wii-mote luckily flew into the wall instead of hitting his $3000 plasma TV.
ML_916, you can listen to ppl talk about the controls of the wii (whether they played it or not) or you can go to a store that has it and try it out. The controls don't get annoying, but you shouldn't take my word for it.
The xbox360 does have quite a few fps. But I personally think fps are much better on the pc. Theres no steep learning learning curve on a pc fps.

hmm... "motion-sensor" (dunno waht to call it), Control Pad, A, B, 1, 2 , (Forget Home and Power) and then on the nunchuk, "motion-ensor, C, Z, and a joystick.Droideka88 wrote:It depends though. For motion, it is limitless but for buttons, I think there is serious lack for that. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the PS3 or 360 have more sticks, gamepads, and buttons???Dohnutt wrote:Most likely. You can't do as much on a controller as a remote.
So thats... 1 pad, 1 joystick, 6 buttons, 2 motion-sensors. Sure alittle less than an average controller but think about. Instead of holding a button and the joystik to look around, all you gotta do is aim.
Also keep in mind that the free motion can be both a 'joystick" and a "button". Take Zelda for example, a swing is a sword attack but it is also a cursor. And the nunchuk does a spin-attack.

I could go to a store and try it if it only had been released here in Sweden...and it takes some time for me to get to the closest Game-store.. you americans should be happy! you get everything earlier than us!!!ML_916, you can listen to ppl talk about the controls of the wii (whether they played it or not) or you can go to a store that has it and try it out. Wii is going to be released at the 8th December here and PS3 in March... 360 has been out since last christmas...
I have a sucking PC so there's not that many games I can play on it... and Split-Screen at consoles rules!!The xbox360 does have quite a few fps. But I personally think fps are much better on the pc. Theres no steep learning learning curve on a pc fps.
it's a hard choice between the consoles (as if have'nt said that a hundred times before)...

*Sorry for Double-Post*
Here's my Wii60-plan:
Step 1: I put a Wii and Zelda on my christmas wish-list and hopes it goes within the "present-budget"..
Step 2: If I get a Wii for christmas I'll be happy for a while and if I feel for a 360 I'll buy it after my summer-job...if I get a summer-job...
What do you think?

I'm gonna have to go with 360. Don't get me wrong, I like the Wii, but it's all about the controller. It's to the point of being annoying. Like in Red Steel you have to hold your arm way out to zoom in the sniper rifle. What if you like to snipe? Man, one arm will have tons of muscle and the other one'll be puny.

@Teancum - Red Steel is one of the worst titles fo the Wii, it's not good to judge it on that game.
My vote is for both, with a slight tilt towards the Wii.
360 - Graphics, and good titles.
Wii - new style of gameplay, and also has some very good titles.
Tilt: I don't see that much difference between Xbox and Xbox 360 (except for better graphics, they're essentially the same system, in my opinion). And in my opnion, I see nothing special about Halo. I've played it, and I see nothing different about it from other First-person Shooters.
