Unit Crashes Map

Post by Super_Clone »

I created a new demolitions unit for my map, but it seems he crashes my map, just to be sure, I removed him from the map for testing purposes, and everything was fine, I put him back in and checked the error log, but everything was the same as before he was in the map. I'm gonna post sections of the error log in more posts, so please excuse the most likely triple-posting. I ran over the character limit when i tried posting all this and the error log in 1 post...

BFront2.log Part 1
http://txtb.in/4DG

BFront2.log Part 3
http://txtb.in/4DH

I skipped Part 2 because it was all harmless info (partical transformer crap) and i deleated the ParticalTransformer stuff from this post too. If you have any ideas, please post, I'd perfer not to see this map collapse after the months iv worked on it, and its near release too...

You're probably loading too many animations.

How might I go along fixing that? I have read that I need to take away some units, but is there another way to go along doing that? I'd rather not remove any over them.. the units I mean.

I'd like to point out that you uploaded the wrong error log, you uploaded the one for the working map, not the crashing one.

Oh. Well, Thanks to what ever admin uploaded my error log parts and merged my posts. Any other way to not have to take out any units, yet still fix the animation issues?

How many units do you have and how many different animations have you added? (such as dual pistol animation, or any other custom animations you munged yourself) In addition, do you have any Jedi/ melee units and how many?

Though if the log you posted was the wrong one, you should post the correct one.

You could lessen the amount of animsets and combos you have (assuming it's jedi that are crashing your map - they probably are) by using the same animset for multiple jedi, and different settings in the combo files - or vice versa. Basically, you must remember that the animset is just the animations the unit uses. Multiple units can use the same animset - the same animations. But they can have different combo files, and so use the same animations - but in a different order.

Just throwing that out there.

@Xav'= I have 1 custom animation set, but I also have Syth's gunner animation, I have 5 Jedi, Sidious, Windu, BX Commando, MagnaGuard, and Guard Trooper.

@Fiodis= That'll be quite helpful, I'll try it.
