Animating a chainsaw

What should I do to animated the sharp bits on the chainsaw im making? Is there any clever stuff i could do to make the sharp bits got around the blade without me having to spend a few hours moving them?

you can make a flat grid where you want to have the sharp bits
the give them an aplhachanneled texture with the sharp bits on it and then make a scrolling texture (render type 3) on those polygons (Data0 is x-axis scrolingspeed and Data1 y-axis scrolling speed)
export it with the PANDEMIC EXPORTER and you have a cool moving chainsaw ingame
