Greetings! This is the readme for my new map: The Old Republic: Sith Lords. As you have probably guessed, it is based on the game KOTOR 2 during the assault on Telos after the Mandalorian wars. The map has two modes: Clone wars has a conquest with seven cps with one side being the Republic Soldiers and the other is the sith mercenaries which are more advanced troops. They also have custom commando like weapons like flamethrowers, and also some KOTOR 2 weapons with new effects. What is in this map you may ask? This map features:

-New force powers such as Heal, Shock, Statis (freeze), Force machine gun, Force explosion, Force burn, Force Storm, Force Wave, Master's Heal, Master's Choke, and Death Field, almost all of them coming from the Kotor series.
-New weapons such as: Crossbow, Commando rifle, sonic pistol, Vibro Sword, ARC Bolt Action rifle, EMP Grenade, Ion Grenade, Plasma Grenade, Concussion Grenade, Deadly Frag Grenade, Poison Grenade, ARC Mercenary Flamethrower, Medpacs, Mandalorian Heavy Blaster, Force Pike, and Repeating Carbine.
- Over 23 new skins
- New objects such as: houses, statues, stone walls, chairs, crates, bins, urns, Plasteel Cylinders, consoles, ships, sinks, toilets and bases.
-Areas that were featured in Kotor 2 such as jungle vegetation, mountains, rocks, trees and valleys.
-To top it all off There are also republic speeders spawning at every command post along with the famous Ebon Hawk spawning at the main hangar.

Tired yet? Well don't worry I won't explain everything that is in the map. If I did this would be 100 pages long. I will say this. Some force powers require you to have a full force meter. If you have half a meter and are trying to use a force power and it doesn't work then you now know why.

Well I guess that settles that. I highly recommend you download this map I really do believe that this is a fun change and something that is a nice diversion from the shipped maps in the game.

Installation: *Note this is not the standard addon format
1. Run the installer
2. click the button with the three dots and browse to your Addon folder located at default
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\Addon If you do not have an addon folder create one in your gamedata folder which also contains the folder labeled lvl_pc.
3. click extract.
4. run BF2 and enjoy the map.

I have been placed in a world where Karma hates me! I posted in a topic on why a guy's game crashes on loading the actual game, and now mine does! I think it could be this map, 'cuz I deleeted my own homemade maps from my addon folder.

There is no way it could be the map. I tested it myself. Anyone have comments on the actual map though?

Wow this looks like a great map! Only suggestions are objects round the side of the map. But this is a beta so i wont go on about it.

the idea is pretty nice, but it still needs much work:
- there are MANY floating objects
- you can see through the walls of the rep hanger
- mandalorians need some variety
- you can walk though ships
- turrets dont fire at you (or are they supposed to shoot only at vehicles)

well i think thats all

Alright, I guess that may be true. Usually when I post a map and it doesn't crash for me that is the same as other people.

The turrets were not supposed to shoot at anyone they were there just for show. The floating objects I am working on. The reason for that problem is because there are so many hills in the map and There for some objects like the tree group have one tree atached to the ground and then the others are not. I was also thinking of skinning the mercenaries, not mandalorians, armour so that it has variety and as for the ships, they are new models that I got from Caleb and I think they just don't have hard point primitives or what ever you call them.

NOTE: just so everyone is clear, this is a public beta and anyone can download and give their imput, you do not have to ask me first.

You also could have a full addon folder, or just an error with SWBF2

if this map and Battle Arean crashes for you than:

1.check your Settings. Is Lightning on Medium or Low?
2.Set resolution down to 1024x768 or lower.Depends on your GFX. MIne is running with 1280x720 without any Problems.
2 SWBF2 is messed up.Reinstall it.

Thats what i can say because both maps working without any crashes.

OnTopic:

The Map is way to empty for the size of your world.
One CIS Hangar has massive wallhacks and some objects aound are floating.
I try to play your map the days again and give you more reply.

Just an FYI, I didn't add a collision to the republic hammerhead, seeing as it was made to be a skydome model.

No it is fine, Caleb. I am actually moving it higher up in the sky so that units do not run into it. Also, I have set almost all the trees so that none of them are floating luckily. As for the hangar, I put a ship above it so that you can't look through it.

I wasn't sure of anyother vehicles on Telos other than the ebon hawk and speeders and I do have about ten speeders in the map so I don't want to go over board. However, I could always skin the Landing craft and call it a shuttle, because i think there are shuttles on telos.

Yeah, there were those shuttles that looked like predecessors to the Lambda-class T-4a and the Theta -class T-2c shuttles.

Wow, I'm a nerd. lol

It's good so far though. So, you're replacing that Acclamator-I class cruiser with a Hammerhead? That's nice if so. If not, and I read your above post wrong, I suggest giving the Acclamator a more 'Old-Old Republic' texture. :p

I haven't tested out the map quite yet, though. I'll check it out when I can, but I have driver's ed this coming Monday, and my parents and I are a tad on edge getting stuff ready for that, plus tons of other random stuff.
