Thanks for the compliments! I've got the ATR-6 ingame now, and I've only got a few more things to touch up with it before I'm basically done. I'm still debating whether I'll do an actual beta release, or just go straight to public v1.0. I've been proofing this thing for so long, I'm almost positive that there are no errors.

Aaaand, here's what should be the final tweak I have to make to the level, the completed
ATR-6 Assault Transport:

The ATR-6 fills in as the pirates' "special" starship. Unlike most fighters, where getting into the fray is key, the ATR can sit back, slow to nearly a stop, and use its main guns and turrets to pound at an enemy from afar. However, should you try and go in close, the thick armor will protect you... which is necessary, given the proverbial crawl you travel at. The ATR also carries two types of mines; the Mine Type A, and the Mine Type A-2, with the former being a standard space lasermine, and the second being equipped with a concussion missile launcher. This assault transport is truly the behemoth of this battlefield.
---
That being said, the map is still plenty balanced. The mines don't make a huge difference, but it sure is nice when those concussion mines knock out a couple enemy craft.
As we speak, I'm doing my final testing and provided there are no errors, should be uploading the release version within a few hours.

I think he can careless about the texture right now. He just wants this map out now. I'm sure he'll go back sometime at a later date and touch them up. I personally think the textures are fine. Not the finest, but they are fine. Besides, wouldn't you be having more fun in game anyway?
I know I would. Can't wait to play it man!

Believe me, it's hardly noticeable ingame. It's all about gameplay, baby, and we've gots it.Snork wrote:You might want to give the texture a little more detail.
...plus, like RSL said, that being the last thing I had to do, I really did want to get the map out.
Speaking of which, it's released! Check out the thread in the "Released" section.
