Post by MandalorianGuard »

Has someone figured out how to construct two Death Stars? I think EaW would be better with two intead of one death star :dstar:

When I say 2 Death Stars, I mean being allowed to build a second one if the first one is destroyed(instead of automatically losing galactic conquest) :dstar:

Off-topic : That is "officially" right, EmperorDonkey, but "semi-officially" speaking, I would not say that your above Statement is that "correct", since it seems that several "Death Star" Projects - Amongst many other major Designs ordered and intended to the Galactic Empire - have been launched and led inside The Maw Installation, which was already "active" at the time of Star Wars Episode IV : A New Hope...

I know but, they didn't say exactly when they started constrction on the second death star. When I say this I'm talking about Galactic Conquest, in certain time periods in GC.

Dude this game isn't exactly built to be canon.

You don't even need to build a Death Star in the first place. Heros can be dropped like normal enemies. 10 minutes ago i went on a psychopath with my happy gun and blew up Kasshyyk (spelled properly?), Mon Calamari, Nal Hutta, and Tatooine. Plus it even says that in the last line of the tutorial introduction speech "will you follow Star Wars history, or change it forever?"

So the chronoligical story of Star Wars does not apply here.

Off-topic : Droid803, I do not consider that Star Wars : Empire At War "Expansion" is not following Star Wars's "Chronological Order", as Pirate Factions have always been more or less "active" during any Period of it, by supporting or being allied with either the Galactic Empire or the Rebel Alliance. Thus, if they had not existed, I doubt that many LucasArts video-games would be currently sold or own a valid / relevant "Storyline", such as those belonging to the Star Wars : Jedi Knight Series...

Off-Topic: True, but well, it doesn't seem to fit, at least from my persective...I mean, the Eclipse was built quite a while after the battle of Endor...and it tells nothing of a space pirate trying to capture it. That would mena crossing the Reborn Emperor himself...which I don't think he's suicidal enough to do.
Anyhow, none of the Pirate Factions have ever gained enoug power to cross either the Alliance or the Empire, with the excption of Xizor, and that was from Shadows of the Empire. A pirate being powerful enough to go for a bid at the Eclipse would have to be quite powerful, in that sense.

Off-topic : That's right, Droid803, but that is equally valid reciprocally speaking, as a few Smugglers and Mercenaries associated to the Star Wars Universe - Such as Booster Terrik - have gained a certain Influence and Prestige thanks to the obtaining of Imperial Capital Ships, like the "Errant Venture" in our previous sample, thanks to the Support of the New Republic, which had succeeded in getting its hands down on "Properties" of the Empire's Fleet along its fight against this Organization...

Didn't the New Republic capture the Executor when Vader died and use it against the remnant?

^Huh? I thought it crashed into the Death Star after an awing collided with the bridge.

I'm probably wrong. been a while since I watched the movie.

Off-TopicNo, the Executor DEFINATELY crashed onto the DS2.
The Lusankya was captured...after Isard did some...stupid? thing. (Don't remeber)
Off-Topic(2): The Errant Venture was pretty much stripped bare (a few turbolasers) until it joined the New Republic. It doesn't seem like Tyber Zann would ally with either side, judging from what he said in the trailer, so I don't feel that he would have enough support from either side (mainly the Alliance, the Empire would not support him to steal their own flagship) to have agined enough prominent power, although it could be possible that he was a rogue Admiral like Zaarin, he doesn't look like that, and personally, his choice of words aren't convincing either.
Judging that the Eclipse was lost (twice) in the books, it does not seem that he had succeeded, unless the game were to contradict canon, originally set out by the books (and comics). Of course, the Idea of Star Wars:Empire at War, and its Expansion is to allow you to change the outcome of the Star Wars universe, it does seem likely and possible. Anyhow, if I understood the trailer correctly, this is what it meant.
