Off-topic : In my very opinion, you should not eventually face that many troubles while attempting to launch and play the concerned Electronic Arts®-licensed Product in case you would have anteriorly set most of your Graphics Settings to the "Normal" Option, since both the two AMD® / ATI® Graphics Cards you have preferred to aggregate thanks to the Property Technology of this same Company have progressively appeared as being not that able to run and animate recent Video Games and Specialized Softwares requiring a consequent Amount of Available System Resources, and that's probably why planning on replacing them sooner or later by brand-new ones should be considered once you will experience hindering or even disturbing Latency Times while executing these same sorts of Programs, so as to eventually pick up ATI® Radeon X1[#] Generation's Creations instead...

They said that only a limited amount of members can sign up for the beta, and it's been out for about 5 days now. Somehow I get the feeling that we no longer have a chance of getting in

Off-topic : As far as I am concerned, it is strictly unhelpful and unjustified to blame GameSpy© / FilePlanet© Personnel for not having accepted to make the Previsualization Version of Battlefield 2142 available for many more External Persons any longer, yoyam, especially since I suppose the Will to proceed so must have been emitted by Electronic Arts® and other Companies having taken part in the development and completion of the concerned Entertainment Program. Furthermore, as the restricted and temporary release of the aimed Product has been somewhat brief for granting eager Players a chance to get their respective hands down on it, I suppose such a Devising must have been mainly conceived in order to let the Firm having supported it to hear about the Comments and Suggestions phrased by a limited Amount of Experienced or Qualified Testers, rather than for looking upon it as any other common Demonstration Version...

The only reason Im getting 2142 is for the FirstStrike star wars mod. Will play 2142 until they get this done and then jump over.

I've looked at 2142 at Wikipedia. There's some fun stuff over there, like this stuff:

Battlefield 2142 is set exactly 200 years after the first game in the Battlefield series, Battlefield 1942.
It will be the first Battlefield game to not feature the United States as an autonomous playable military faction.
This will additionally be the first Battlefield game where a communist faction is not included in the game. The factions that were in the previous Battlefield games were: The Red Army of the Soviet Union, from Battlefield 1942; the North Vietnamese Army and the Vietcong of North Vietnam from Battlefield Vietnam; and People's Liberation Army of The People's Republic of China from Battlefield 2.

The games been pretty good so far. Lots of upgrades this time around which is added by the fact that ranks do not take 12 hours of straight playing to reach. I've had it for a week and playing it for maybe a day of total time, already gone up like 6 ranks. check it out sometime. especially if you are a BF2 player, it really improves on BF2. not as many bugs but its really just a really good mod for BF2. doesnt mean it sucks, I'm just saying. Same engine, so if you like BF2 and could run BF2 than what ever you got on BF2 for graphics and stuff, you will get similar results on BF2142.

lets just hope DICE and EA dont screw us over in this installment like they did with BF2
