In this map particulary, you should limit the droidekas as well as the others like the Clone Engineers, SBDs, and Engineer Droids.
They're lethal.
Why limit units? Look at stock maps like Tantive or Death Star or any indoors map. They work out fine with not limits (except of the usuals).
Also, I don't see what the big deal is with "the droidekas have to be realistic".
I believe in this map particulary, Bandu intends to make just hallways and possibly a hanger arena. (I think)
With Engineers, their shotguns fire between close to medium range.
As said before, I can see droidekas be severely limited. But if that happens, should'nt Jet Troopers be severely limited as well. Theirs Jets aren't too useful in these narrow maps.

Depends on how many details the space battle should have - Bandu could simply make the ship shake from time to time like the T4, and have the dome filled with fighters - or he could include some windows have AI-fighters spawning outside.
I'd prefer the simple method for this map should focus on indoor combat, and noone should be tempted to look for the way outside.
I agree. Just a plain old dome with fighters zooming around will suffice, and maybe some random lasers flying around with another dome - just want effect, that's all.
Heres a suggestion: If your gonna make a space battle it would actually be easy, put a republic venator outside, and let some bots spawn there. For the cis, let the vulture droids spawn ontop of the confederation ship like in the movie, then make a cp for cis to make em spawn ontop their confederation ship. Close the gates of te confederation ship so nothing can go out or in. Then you will have a space battle and a battle in the ship itself.

Does that mean you can't dogfight outside the ship unless u play as CIS??
no i think he means that ONLY the bots will spawn at that cp because it wouldnt be fair if your troops are killed while your searching for the last squad of droids.

Since it would probably be undesirable to spawn pilots outside, the vulture droids could be self-piloted using that trick x-wingguy found.

The Eng. might have a shotgun but look at Tantive, the map is basically hallways too (granted there is a little more cover).
If the Jets aren't useful then why limit them?
Also, I'm not try to flame your reasoning, just questioning it.

I have no plans for a space battle. I want everything to be of high quality and lag-free. A space battle would undoubtably take its toll. Id also have to model a new Invisible exterior and make sure everything lines up with the interior . In an ideal world , where i have loads of free time I could do it , but unfortunatly i dont.
I am now modelling the Bridge , so for the time-being heres another pic of the wip hallway...
