VRML Edited Models - taking requests

Post by Sky_216 »

Recently I discovered that models can be edited (not precisely since I don't really understand Vivaty) with just tipam's msh viewer and Vivaty Studio without having to use XSI at all. This makes editing stock models (generally) a lot easier. Examples are the "bare hoth tunnels" in the released assets thread. Since there are lots of assets that have good components (eg the extractor from bespin platforms, the pipes from space engine rooms) that would help mappers (self included) if they were set up as seperate objects, and its very simple to do simple edits with viewer + vivaty, I figured I'd make some and set re;ease them in an asset pack.

If you have a certain edited model you want, request it here. Has to be stock BF1/2.

Only request a model if you intend to use it.

Sky, you could not believe how perfect the timing of this thread is. I've been slaving over Blender to take that extra helmet piece of the Tantive IV trooper, like so:

Can you do it if its possible? Thanks a bunch, man!

Something like the bare Hoth tunnels, but with the main Death Star prison hallway, would be useful, where you fill in the holes for cells with polys to make it one long hallway, and take away the downwards slant on the one end.

Ok, I have an idea. Sky, can you take the platform from tat2_bldg_crashed_spaceship and make it stand alone? That would be useful. Or, could you take tat2_bldg_stair1 and copy the wall to the other side, like this?

Either would be much appreciated, and I'm not in a hurry, so you can take as much time as you need.

Here's one that'd be really useful: the engine cooling tanks (green tubes) from the space engine room. One version with just a single standalone tank, and another with the two tanks together in the frame, would be nice for all those making bunker-style maps.

Here's an idea, but I don't know how difficult it would be. Would you be able to edit the stock CIS rocket launcher to make it look like an M9A1 Bazooka?
You mainly would just need to modify these parts:

The Green represents parts that would need to be added and the Red represents parts that would need to be removed. I don't believe it should be too difficult. Should you decide to do it I would appreciate it. :)
