Tired of all the i skinned/you skinned/my mod/your mod/nobodys mod drama??
Afraid to get banned because of your lack of imagination??
Here is your solution!!...
... introducing:
The Phase II Shadow Clone Trooper
equipped with: DC-19 "Stealth" blaster rifle, Vibrodagger, and a badass attitude!

"...The standard DC-15 carbine has been replaced by the DC-19 "Stealth" carbine. This weapon is equipped with a sound suppressor for silent operation, and has an optional mode that uses an expensively refined tibanna gas mixture that makes a bolt invisible to the regular visual spectrum. This mode comes at a high cost, though; the mixture must be reloaded after 10 shots, and the weapon must cool down after each blast to prevent damage to the dampeners. Shadow trooper snipers use the invisible beam to great effect......"
Skin it now!! only limited quantity for the first posters on this thread

Do it better and we can talk about constructive competition as mini' said![]()
and maybe you should search through Gametoast with the Search Function before you start with a project..? you don't seem to be all lucky(all 5 weapons you've mentioned are already made - lol)

I 2nd Teancum on this. Whats with the 'mines better than yours' cr@p? . Penguin has done a good job on her weapons ESPECIALLY since she just picked up XSI.
Oh and BTW , Qdin , your skinning could do with a touchup ...especially on the scope

That would be a cool skin though, a nice alternative to the ever persistant republic commandos. not to say that the commandos are going to be sicknasty once they are ready.
And yeah i really am unclear why so much stink over a video game, user made, UN-copyrighted, model!?
really, is it that big of a deal?
Good work btw, like to see some progress Penguin, keep us updated.
Off-Topic: Anyone considered asking permission from Mars to decompile his Republic Commando models and use them in BF2? They are quite nice.

Umm, no. Do you guys not read? Penguin already atmitted to getting the idea from my avatar/signature, which had been around WAY before that fabled "Shadow Trooper" (which is made up by toy companies and not LF).

The Shadow Trooper is a part of the EU. The backstory was developed by Hyperspace members. I submitted a story for it but I guess mine got beaten but I have more confidence in the one I did for the RA7 droid. Back on topic, good model. It's even more impressive that you're new to modeling and were able to accomplish this.
I'm gonna leave now because this thread is getting a little hot-headed and egotistical.

I've started working on a skin
Here's a WIP 9after 5-10 mins of work)

Penguin, if you want it, feel free to ask for it.
PS: I still have to do some more work on the helmet, tho i might leave it like it is.

looks pretty 'ba', if you know what i mean (not worth risking a warning).
but aside from that sarcasm, it looks nice. and aside from looking nice, it looks like a realistic republic skin. all i can say is perhaps tone down the visor - thats the only thing that takes away from that skins 'movie' realism.
Now that this thread is thouroughly offtopic, perhaps ill nudge it in the right direction...
How goes the dc-17 progress?

I believe OOM-9 is using a model of the ARC Trooper rifle for his ARC RV- Kamino and any other maps. (I would know cause I sent him a link to an ARC rifle for JA)kudos_eb wrote:
is there someone on this thread kind enough to model the rifle that Alpha the arc trooper holds..
But aside from that, these are looking quite nice! Keep it up.
