Off-topic : I guess the answer to such a question might arouse both the Curiosity and Interest of a few other GameToast Users around this Location, but according to the Decisions LucasArts® may have made in the Past, I assume the chances of getting your hands down on LEGO Star Wars II : The Original Trilogy-related Contents intended towards Apple® Mac OS Platforms are rather restricted and even unsignificant, as proven by the fact Star Wars Battlefront II has not been ported to this Software Environment, amongst other similar examples...

Off-topic : Please endeavour into not forgetting that the LucasArts® Product you have downloaded and played so far is primarily a Demonstration Version intended to highlight the newly-added Features and Possibilities having been mentioned previously rather than being as much Stable and appreciable as the Full Variant of LEGO Star Wars II : The Original Trilogy, which means facing troubles with Sand Troopers and their respective Dewbacks might not be the only ones you could encounter along the use of this same Design...

Off-topic : Actually, I have not succeeded in gaining and gathering sufficiently spare-time Periods in order to repatriate LEGO Star Wars II : The Original Trilogy Demonstration Version onto my Hard-Drive, but while awaiting for this highly-anticipated Moment to happen, I would have wished to obtain a little more Informations and Precise Details regarding this LucasArts® Product, like whether the Characters featured through it are eventually as much Expressive and Communicating as in this Entertainment Software's Prequel, amongst other examples...

YES! I got the demo working without a vertex and pixel shader 1.1!
EDIT: Okay i can play the demo ...but... theres a huge graphical bug when Im playing it. im trying to fix it but i honeslty dont know what im doing. You however may not have any problems.
I found this off a forum, and this was originally for teh original version, but it works the same.

Ok i had the same problem with that pixel shader v1.1.
So if u dont want 2 buy a new graphic card or let ur child cry 2 death just follwow these instructions below:
1. Install the lego star wars game.
2. go to http://www.3dfxzone.it/dir/tools/3d_analyze/ and download the 3D-Analyze v. 2.36 under the latest releases.
3. When u finished downloading it u have 2 extract the downlaod and so on.... Go 2 the extracted folder and in there u find a file called 3DAnalyze. click on it.
4. click on the big SELECT button. there u have to go 2 C/program files/ giant/ legostarwars/ legostarwars. or where ever u have put the installed game.
5. click open. on the right side of that programs are little tick boxes, tick the following boxes:
emulate hv tnl caps
emulate pixel shader caps
force 16 bit zbuzzer (without stencil)
6. click run

Off-topic : Well, in case LEGO Star Wars II : The Original Trilogy's Demonstration Version would actually ship with at least as many Destructible and Alterable Environmental Elements as this LucasArts® Product's Prequel, then I am beginning to consider your above Score as being somewhat unsignificant compared to what you might fulfill by taking advantage out of the whole Video Game you have reached this Result through, and that's why looking into this Possibility even more closely might not be that unhelpful...

Unfortunately not. If it was on an older game we probably would not have a problem, but Lucasarts is really protective of the games that still make money for them.Droideka88 wrote:Off-Topic : Although I can't play this game, I found the main folder (start in LucasArts folder). Click on LEGO Star Wars 2 DEMO, then click lego_data, click on audio, click "_soundfx" or _music and you have a start to more unique music and sounds for anyone's interest in mapping still. :;
Now I'm not entirely sure if it's legal but will LucasArts allow a community like Gametoast to use those files in custom maps anybody makes?

Off-topic : Above all, since Traveller's Tales® must have requested some Support and Resources towards additional Companies specialized into designing Sound or Music Files, I assume it would be lost beforehand to draw up an exhaustive List of all Firms having taken part in the conceiving and release of the Contents located towards the Directories having been quoted as samples, which means exploiting them is eventually way far from being that advisable to around GameToast members...

Off-topic : Honestly speaking, what would you have expected out of an Entertainment Product having been originally intended to Consoles ? Indeed, do not forget that Video Games being converted and ported towards our good-old Personal Computers are usually way far from being as much enjoyable and easy-to-use as onto their Native Platforms, which can be equally applicated towards LEGO Star Wars : The Video Game, additionally to the fact it wasn't supposed to be that much anticipated and acclaimed by those having heard about this Devising's Release, no matter which Platforms these persons would have willed to execute it onto. Above all, once LucasArts® has eventually decided to support the Development of this Design's Sequel, be sure considering to revamp the Internal Structures of it mustn't have been that approved in order to respect an imposed Scheduling...

You're right Lev. Why would LA or TT change the PC controls on less than a month before release. One fix to that is the easy change of controls in hte option menu. I agree with you Tean the controls are better on a control and the default PC controls aren't the best. But remember that the dropin/dropout co-op makes the keyboard split so two people can play.

The game is hilarious but the camera angles for me at least were horrid. hehe Btw this is a great game to mod just make sure your keep your game data file at its original filesize or it will crash right when you click the icon to startup the game.
Best mod so far was an Evil Gonk that is targetable and runs around @ 3 times faster and has 5 times for hp then trooopers. WHen you kill him you get 500k lol. Hex editors gone wild.

actually, don't do that. You'll get a massive grey blob that covers the whole screen. instead of clicking those options, just click "force pixel shader 1.1" and TA-DA the game works fine (minus a few minor glitches)Dabrowski wrote:YES! I got the demo working without a vertex and pixel shader 1.1!

Also, I'm curious, which file did they hex-edit? I want to make obi-wan have force lightning instead of force trick
