First of all, please write it normally. Second of all, read the documentation, there is a tut on adding vehicles. But heres how you do it. You take your .lua, and add the green parts (In the code) to it.obiboba3po wrote:hi is anyone there able to help me with my map? Re: Adding walking vehicles
Make sure you set memorypools for walkers, too. To your list of "SetMemoryPoolSize" entries, add:
If you want more than one commandwalker (AT-TE, AT-AT), increase that number to the amount that can be on the field at once (number of walker vehiclespawns, usually).
Also, walkers need an extra memorypool allocation based on how many leg-pairs they have (AT-ST, AT-RT have 1 pair, AT-AT, Spider have 2 pair, AT-TE has 3 pair, and droidekas have 0 pair - they're a special circumstance). Here's a sample of the Geonosis .lua:
The SetMemoryPoolSize adds memory pools for any of your walkers (it being defined as -1 means it's set for unlimited walkers, you can change this so that you don't take up extra allocated space). The AddWalkerType lines you need to make sure you change based on what you're adding. You said you wanted to add an AT-TE; it has 3 leg pairs so you would make the line say "AddWalkerType(3, 1)" or change the number again based on how many you plan on having on the map.
Code: Select all
SetMemoryPoolSize("CommandWalker", 1)Also, walkers need an extra memorypool allocation based on how many leg-pairs they have (AT-ST, AT-RT have 1 pair, AT-AT, Spider have 2 pair, AT-TE has 3 pair, and droidekas have 0 pair - they're a special circumstance). Here's a sample of the Geonosis .lua:
Code: Select all
ClearWalkers()
SetMemoryPoolSize("EntityWalker", -1)
AddWalkerType(0, 8) -- 8 droidekas (special case: 0 leg pairs)
AddWalkerType(2, 2) -- 2 spider walkers with 2 leg pairs each
AddWalkerType(3, 2) -- 2 attes with 3 leg pairs each-

Re: Adding walking vehicles
Read the above. It goes in your memorypools. Just take a look at the stock scripts if you're unsure.

Re: Adding walking vehicles
yea sure, no problem. Ok so do u know where it has the walker types and then it under this, there are a lot of set memory pools. Well what the other guy was saying was you just add what he wrote here. It worked for me and if this is unclear, tell me. Also, for the flying vehcles, what exactly do i need to add? Thanks, obiboba3po

No problem! Also, don't add what I wrote, add exactly what the gametoast staff guy wrote near the top.

Re: Adding walking vehicles
Wait, so to answer my question, do you change the number you had in to the number of walkers spawning?

Re: Adding walking vehicles
wait, what number do you mean? If its the setmemorypool number, that number represents how many command walkers will be in your map. (the atte and atat only)
EDIT
Could someone please reply, i still need help with the flying vehicles, Thanks, obiboba3po
